What Triggers Depersonalization?
Depersonalization-derealization disorder is often triggered by extreme stress, anxiety, or depression.
A lack of sleep or an overstimulating environment can also trigger DPDR symptoms or make them worse.
What Causes Depersonalization-Derealization Disorder?
It is possible to make a complete recovery from DPDR.
Some people do so on their own without treatment.
Other people benefit from taking medications or having psychotherapy.
