Dont exercise, smoke, or have a caffeinated drink in the 30 minutes before taking your blood pressure.

Also, empty your bladder beforehand and sit quietly for five minutes before taking the reading.

Take two readings one minute apart and take the readings at the same time each day.

Seek medical attention if you experience any of these symptoms.
