They will also run blood tests to check for indications of lupus.

This test looks forautoantibodiesto nuclei in cells.
Almost all people with lupus will have a positive ANA test.
That does not necessarily mean you have lupus, however.
And up to 10% of people with no rheumatological disease will have a positive ANA.
Rheumatologists help patients prevent and treat lupus flares and reduce organ damage and other problems.
Your rheumatologist can help you navigate these changes.
Lupus may also causephotosensitivity, which your dermatologist can help manage.
Neurological Specialists
Aneurologistmay be part of your team so that address thenervous system manifestations of lupus.
In general, it is very important to continue to see a primary care physician.
They can also address anxiety and depression, which are common in people with lupus.
This is a doctor who specializes in high-risk pregnancies.
Some of these are done as a radiology procedure whereas others entail surgical biopsies.
