The four primary receptors alpha-1, alpha-2, beta-1, and beta-2 are located in different body areas.
The impact of norepinephrine and epinephrine depend on which receptors they activate.
When you feel fear, stress, anxiety, or even excitement, the brain senses danger.
Then, the brain tells the adrenal glands to release epinephrine into the bloodstream.
This is part of the body’sfight-or-flight response.
The constant, steady release of norepinephrine helps maintain daily blood pressure.
During the fight-or-flight response, norepinephrine produces many of the same changes as epinephrine.
This is because norepinephrine can also activate beta-1 receptors.However, norepinephrine also produces a few different reactions.

Adrenalin (epinephrine) is used to help restore breathing by opening airways and reducing airway swelling.

Certain issues can lower your norepinephrine and epinephrine levels.
Low levels of norepinephrine or epinephrine can affect your physical and mental state.
Addisons disease suppresses the adrenal gland, which normally produces hormones such as cortisol, aldosterone, and epinephrine.
